استقبل الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، اليوم الثلاثاء، عددًا من رؤساء شركات التعدين الإيطالية (بيرتون، ومينيرالي إندستريالي، وBSM).

حضر اللقاء؛ الدكتور مصطفى مدبولي، رئيس مجلس الوزراء، والمهندس طارق الملا، وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية، والفريق أحمد الشاذلي، رئيس هيئة الشئون المالية للقوات المسلحة، واللواء وليد أبو المجد، مدير عام جهاز مشروعات الخدمة الوطنية، واللواء عبد السلام شفيق، رئيس الشركة المصرية للتعدين وإدارة واستغلال المحاجر والملاحات، وشريف الغريب، رئيس شركة الشريف براند جروب، بالإضافة إلى السفير ميكيلي كواروني، سفير إيطاليا بالقاهرة.

وقال المستشار أحمد فهمي، المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية، إن اللقاء تناول استعراض آفاق التعاون مع الشركات الإيطالية لتعظيم الاستفادة من الثروات المعدنية في مصر، في ضوء النجاح الكبير لنموذج التعاون الصناعي بين مصر وإيطاليا في مشروع مجمع مصانع إنتاج الكوارتز بالعين السخنة، الذي شهد افتتاحه الرئيس في مايو الماضي.

قطاع التعدين في مصر

وأعرب مسئولو الشركات الإيطالية عن تطلعهم لتكثيف العمل نحو تعميق مسيرة التعاون مع مصر، منوهين إلى ما تعكسه المتابعة الدقيقة من جانب الرئيس لجهود دفع الاستثمار الخاص من حرصٍ للدولة على تحقيق طفرة حقيقية في هذا المجال، مؤكدين التزامهم بتعزيز التعاون المثمر مع مصر في مجال الأنشطة التعدينية، لاسيما في ظل ما تحظى به من ثروات كامنة من الخامات المعدنية، وكذا استفادةً من المناخ الاستثماري الجاذب في قطاع التعدين في مصر.

زيادة القيمة الصناعية المضافة

كما ذكر المتحدث الرسمي، أن الرئيس أكد تقدير مصر لعلاقاتها التاريخية الراسخة مع إيطاليا، والحرص على تطويرها في مختلف مجالات التعاون الثنائي، مشيرًا إلى اهتمام مصر بجذب استثمارات الشركات الإيطالية الكبرى في قطاع التعدين، والصناعة التحويلية.

ويأتى ذلك بهدف زيادة القيمة الصناعية المضافة، وتوطين الصناعة ونقل المعرفة والتكنولوجيا، وبناء القدرات المصرية في هذه الصناعات الأكثر تطوراً، على النحو الذي يتيح آفاقاً واسعة أمام الاقتصاد الوطني لتوفير المزيد من فرص العمل المتميزة، وزيادة الإنتاج والصادرات إلى مختلف دول العالم.

President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi received today, Tuesday, a number of heads of Italian mining companies (Bertoni, Minerali Industriali, and BSM).

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, Engineer Tarek El Molla, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, General Ahmed El-Shazly, the President of the Financial Affairs Authority of the Armed Forces, Major General Waleed Abu Al-Magd, the General Director of the National Service Projects Agency, Major General Abdel Salam Shafiq, the President of the Egyptian Mining Authority, Quarrying, and Maritime Exploitation Company, Sherif El-Ghareeb, the President of Al-Sharif Brand Group, in addition to Ambassador Michele Quaroni, the Italian Ambassador to Cairo.

Ahmed Fahmy, the spokesperson for the presidency, said that the meeting discussed the prospects of cooperation with Italian companies to maximize the utilization of mineral resources in Egypt, in light of the great success of the industrial cooperation model between Egypt and Italy in the Quartz Production Complex project in Ain Sokhna, which was inaugurated by the President in May last year.

The officials of the Italian companies expressed their desire to intensify efforts towards deepening the cooperation with Egypt, highlighting the President’s close follow-up of the private investment push, which reflects the state’s keenness to achieve a real breakthrough in this field. They affirmed their commitment to enhancing fruitful cooperation with Egypt in the mining sector, especially given its potential wealth of mineral ores, as well as benefiting from the attractive investment climate in Egypt’s mining sector.

The spokesperson stated that the President emphasized Egypt’s appreciation for its historical and strong relations with Italy and its keenness to develop them in various fields of bilateral cooperation. He also mentioned Egypt’s interest in attracting investments from major Italian companies in the mining and manufacturing sectors, with the aim of increasing the value-added industrial output, localizing industry, transferring knowledge and technology, and building Egyptian capacities in these advanced industries. This would open up broad prospects for the national economy to provide more distinguished employment opportunities, increase production, and exports to various countries worldwide.
