The project includes 56 production units, each equipped with 16 mills for extracting gold from rocks. The implementation is being carried out by Gas Misr, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Petroleum, which enhances state control over manufacturing processes and ensures the highest standards of quality and oversight.

Mostafa clarified that the current phase of execution is proceeding according to the planned schedule, expecting the project to be completed by the end of this year.

He added that the operation of the complex is projected to increase Shalateen’s gold production by up to 30%, marking a significant leap in the capabilities of the local mining industry.

He pointed out that Shalateen’s annual participation in the Egypt International Mining Forum provides a live showcase of its capabilities and achievements, while also enhancing opportunities to network with investors and decision-makers.

Mostafa noted that the forum represents an ideal platform for exchanging expertise and formulating new visions, which could help the sector become one of the pillars of the national economy in the future.

He further emphasized that, since its founding in 2012, Shalateen has been keen to set a successful national example in the gold industry despite all challenges.

The company began its operations in rugged, remote areas that lacked even the most basic infrastructure, yet the Egyptian team managed to provide water, electricity, housing, and food for the workers, succeeding in achieving real production and delivering output to the state.

Mostafa explained that continuous support from the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority has been the main driver for further developing the company’s capabilities.

Thanks to this support, the near future is expected to witness further developments and achievements in Egypt’s mining sector.

In conclusion, Dr. Hany Mostafa sent a clear message to all serious investors inside and outside Egypt: “Shalateen opens its doors to any genuine partnership that contributes to building a strong and sustainable mining sector, relying on a trained national workforce, accumulated practical experience, and a will that knows no limits.” He added, “We are always ready to work and develop, and Egypt awaits many benefits from this sector in the near future.”
