Veteran Egyptian Mining Executive takes on new role

Mark Campbell, who is well known to the Egyptian Mining Industry who had led both Aton Resources and AkhGold, has been appointed Senior Advisor to Infiniti, the $2B Mining Company who have recently arrived in Egypt to undertake large scale mineral exploration and mining

Mr. Campbell is based in Cairo and has over 44 years of experience in the mining, investment banking and petroleum industries, with 34 of those years being in Egypt. He is the retired Chairman and General Manager of Naguib Sawiris’s gold mining company AkhGold from 2021-2024

He was formerly President and CEO of TSX-V listed Aton Resources Inc, having served between its beginning in 2008 until 2021. From 1995 Mr. Campbell was a consultant to Pharaoh Gold Mines, a wholly owned subsidiary of LSE and TSX listed Centamin Plc

Prior to this he was involved in the drilling and oilfield services business, primarily operating in Egypt and Sudan. In addition, Mr. Campbell has held senior positions with a number of investment banks, including Salomon Brothers Inc, First Boston Corporation, Chase Manhattan Asia Limited and Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb Inc., working in New York, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo

Mr. Campbell studied petroleum geology at Texas Tech University in the United States
