Nubian Mines Announces Promising Gold Results.. Petroleum Ministry Supports Expansion into Mineral Commodities
On the sidelines of the 2025 Egypt Mining Forum, Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, received Eng Essam Hourani, Chairman of Nubian Mines Company, which operates in the field of gold exploration and production, along with his accompanying delegation.

The meeting was also attended by Geologist Yasser Ramadan, Chairman of the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority and Mining Industries.
The meeting included a comprehensive review of the company’s current operations and future plans within its concession areas for gold exploration and production, in addition to exploring new investment opportunities in other mining sectors.
Minister Karim Badawi expressed his warm welcome for the company’s presence and its ongoing operations in Egypt, commending its serious intent to expand investments not only in gold production but also in other mineral resources such as phosphate and white sand.
He affirmed the Ministry’s and the Authority’s full readiness to provide all necessary support and facilitation to help the company maximize its benefits from Egypt’s promising mining opportunities, in a way that ensures mutual gains.
For his part, Eng Essam Hourani expressed his pleasure to be operating in Egypt, praising the serious reform steps undertaken by the government to modernize the mining sector, which have greatly encouraged further investment.
He noted that the company will soon announce promising results in gold production, following successful exploratory operations conducted recently.
He also revealed the company’s ambition to expand its investments into other promising mineral commodities, particularly phosphate and white sand, capitalizing on Egypt’s geological potential and favorable investment climate.
This meeting reflects the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ commitment to attracting serious investment, strengthening partnerships with mining companies, and expanding the exploitation of mineral wealth to support the national economy and achieve sustainable development.
